Congratulations to our 2017 Character Education Award Winners: JD and London!


The Greeneville City Schools (GCS) Education Foundation honors the 2017 Character Education Award winners at the close of the school year. These students were selected by their peers and teachers as excellent models of honorable character. A group photo of the students will be featured on a billboard on Tusculum Blvd. for 3 weeks beginning in early May.

Each student will be presented with a commemorative medal, designed and produced by Mr. Elliott GeFellers and students from the Machine Tool Technology Class and Collision Repair at the Greene Technology Center. In addition to a medal, the Education Foundation will make a $50 donation in each student’s name to the charity of the student’s choice.

Nash Newberry - The Food Bank, Greeneville-Greene County Community Ministries 
Gracie Blair - Reformation Lutheran Church

Ashley Loven - The Mary and Joseph Project, Asbury United Methodist Church 
Nick Iezzi - Make-A-Wish East TN

Jorja Ward - Appalachian Helping Hands
