Dr. Luttrell's Weekly Message 9-7-20

Good afternoon Tiger families.  This is Dr. Luttrell and here are a few announcements for the week of September 8th.

We hope you had a restful and enjoyable Labor Day holiday.  We will resume online learning for grades 1-5 and hybrid half days for preK, kindergarten, and our highest needs students.  Data and guidance from the TN Dept of Health and CDC continues to be monitored to make decisions for our learning platform.

During this time of online learning, you may experience the need for help at home with assignments.  We have a free service that may help if you do not have access to your teacher, it is called Homework Hotline.  You can find more information this week on our school website, Twitter and our Tigers at Home Facebook page.

Special message for grades 3-5:  Each year, all students in Greeneville City Schools third, fourth, and fifth grades are required to complete a Digital Citizenship and Safety Training course. Students have two weeks to watch the Digital Citizenship video and submit the short test. When your child has submitted their test, we will check off your name as having completed your training course for this school year. You will find the Digital Citizenship video and test as your lesson in this week’s TV Special Classes Canvas Course on the Library Class third, fourth, and fifth grade page.

Below is a schedule of what to expect this week:

Monday – Labor Day holiday – no school

Tuesday – Kindergarten A group in person half day.

Virtual Title I meeting at 6 pm.  https://gcschools-net.zoom.us/j/8805375014.  Zoom link is also on website.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to the school at 639.2751.

I hope you all have a good week and stay well!
