Congrats to the winners of the Earth Day Trash Art Competition put on by the Greene County Partnership.

We had over 30 participants and we are so proud of all our Tiger Artists who participated in this fun event. You made amazing pieces, and your artwork brought us so much joy!

Members of GCP came and judged our artworks, and here are the results:

Honorable Mention: Addison 1st grade "Family of Owls"

3rd Place: Rylee 3rd grade "Kit and Kat's Fish Bites"

2nd Place: Avery 3rd grade "Colorful Cat"

1st Place: Waverly 3rd grade "Sandy"

Waverly won a prize bag from the Greene County Partnership. Waverly made a sea turtle and coral reef out of plastic bags. Here is what she said about her art: "Sea Turtles mistake plastic bags for jellyfish and try to eat them. Plastics are very harmful to our ocean animals.

ALL participants will receive a treat from Mrs. Harmon for participating in the Trash Art Contest, and Waverly will receive her prize bag today, EARTH DAY!
