Congratulations to the GMS Track & Field Team on a strong finish at the TMSAA State Championships!
Jacob Justis finished 8th in Discus. Dillon Hartman placed 8th in Shot Put. Mackenzie Castro placed 5th in 100M Hurdles. Andres Bowman placed 5th in High Jump. The GMS 4x100 team finished in 4th Place. Zy Neal took 4th in Long Jump and Joey Hickerson placed 5th in Long Jump.




GMS Boys basketball tryouts are Friday, May 31 from 3:00-5:00 PM at GMS.
This tryout is open to any incoming 6th graders, as well as rising 7th and 8th graders.
You must have a current physical to try out!

Girls Soccer tryouts will take place Thursday, May 30th, Friday, May 31st, Monday, June 3rd, and Tuesday, June 4th from 10 AM-12 PM.
You must have a current athletic physical on file to participate!


Congratulations GMS Lady Devils Golf Team!
The GMS Lady Devils finished as State Champions in the TMSAA State Championship at Harpeth Hills, Nashville.
A huge congratulations to coaches Jason Shelton and Matt Renner.

Big shout out to the 7th grade Day 2 guest speakers! They arrived on campus during Wednesday’s storms and while students were sheltering place. Not only were they excellent speakers, they were flexible with all the disruptions to the afternoon schedule.


The boys' golf season came to a close in Dandridge at sectional play. GMS shot 185 and finished in 7th place. Individually, Nathan Howlett shot 38 and finished in 10th place. Bryson Ricker was in 26th and Maps Gray was in 28th place. Ben Gosnell and Anthony Smock stepped in to help the team have enough players for sectionals and did a great job.
The GMS girls continued their wonderful golf play. After wrapping up their third consecutive District title last week, they won their second regional title at sectionals this week and will get the chance to compete in the first-ever TMSGA / TMSAA Middle School Golf State Championships!
GMS won Sectionals by 13 strokes. Kylee and Kamryn Renner both shot 41 to finish 1st and 2nd as individuals. Kamryn won the scorecard playoff to become the lowest girl’s score for the tournament.
GMS will be back in action next Tuesday at Harpeth Hills Golf Course in Nashville TN. The tournament will begin on May 14th at 9:00 am Central Time.


As part of their LIFE unit 7th graders enjoyed guest speakers that shared about pathways to their professions. Today was Day 1!

Wrestling Banquet: May 19th at GHS


Greeneville Middle School Golf Dominates both the girls’ and boys’ divisions at the District Golf Tournament at Link Hills on Tuesday April 30th, 2024. The tournament consisted of eleven teams from the surrounding areas. The winners advance to sectionals on May 8th at Dandridge.
The GMS girls' team was dominant at the District Tournament. The outstanding play of Kylee Renner, Kamryn Renner, and Emma Smith led them to the championship. Kylee led the tournament field with a 41 and was the girl’s medalist for the tournament. Kamryn followed with a close 43. Emma Smith shot a 58. GMS scored 84 for the tournament and led the second-place team by 27 strokes.
The GMS boys' team also scored an impressive victory at the District Tournament. The entire team performed extremely well but Nathan Howlett had a standout performance with a 37. This was the lowest score of the day and Nate took home medalist honors. Bryson Ricker turned in one of his best scores of the year with a 41. The rest of the boys’ team all shot 44. Maps Gray, Jake Hall, and Wolfgang Rabern all had close to best of the year performances as well.
The team will participate in the sectional tournament at Dandridge on May 8th, 2024. Winners from the sectional tournament have a chance to compete at the first ever Tn State middle school golf tournament.




Registration is now open for the GMS Lady Devils Kids' Volleyball Camp!
Campers pre-K through 5th grade are welcome!
The camp will be held at Eastview Rec center from 9-11 AM for Pre-K through 2nd graders and from 12:30-3 PM for 3rd-5th graders.
Register before July 10th to guarantee a camp shirt and to save $5! The cost is $35/camper before July 10th and $40/camper after. Siblings receive a $5 discount.

The GMS golf team celebrated their 8th grade night with big wins at Link Hills Golf Course.
In girls’ action, GMS defeated Lakeway Christian by a score of 82 by GMS and 113 by Lakeway. Kylee Renner was the low score of the day with a 39. Kamryn Renner posted a 43. Both ladies are 8th graders for GMS this season. These ladies Have been with GMS for three seasons. GMS also celebrated 8th grader Emma Smith. Emma has been with the golf team for three seasons. We also celebrated Addyson Ricker, a first-year 8th-grade player this season.
In boys’ action, GMS also continued its winning streak. GMS shot a 169. Lakeway turned a 217. North Greene MS turned in a 245. Nate Howlett had a low score for GMS with a 40. All GMS players posted a score below 47. We also recognized our 8th-grade boys on the team. Bryson Ricker is a first-year player with GMS and posted a 41. Jake Hall is also a first-year player and posted a 42. Wolfgang Rabern is the only 8th grader to play all three years at GMS. He posted a score of 46.
GMS will be back in action on Tuesday for the District Tournament. Both teams will be looking to advance to sectionals.
